Either Buyer or Seller reports an issue (e.g., item not received, item not as described) via the Lockpesa dashboard.
Both parties are given a period (e.g., 48 hours) to submit all relevant evidence, tracking numbers, and communication logs.
The Lockpesa Resolution Team reviews all evidence and attempts to mediate a mutual agreement between the parties.
If mediation fails, a final, binding decision is made. Funds are either **refunded to the Buyer** or **released to the Seller**.

If the seller fails to deliver, or the item is not as described, the buyer can raise a dispute. Our dedicated resolution team will investigate, and if the claim is valid, the full transaction amount will be **refunded to the buyer**. See our Dispute Flowchart above for details.
Payment is instantly released to the seller as soon as the buyer clicks **'Confirm Delivery'**. Funds are typically credited to the seller's account (e.g., M-Pesa, Bank) within minutes to a few hours, depending on the payment method.
